Use

Qualitative and quantitative detection of drugs and drug metabolites in urine specimens for clinical purposes including pain management monitoring, substance abuse screening, medication compliance verification, and treatment program monitoring. Screening (presumptive) performed by immunoassay with confirmation (definitive) by LC-MS/MS for positive or clinically indicated results. Specimen validity testing (creatinine, specific gravity, pH, oxidant) ensures specimen integrity.

Limitations

Screening (presumptive) results are qualitative and may be subject to cross-reactivity with structurally similar compounds. Confirmation (definitive) by LC-MS/MS is required for clinical decision-making. Results reported as negative do not exclude the presence of a drug below the reporting cutoff. Detection windows vary by drug, dose, metabolism, and hydration. Specimen validity testing may indicate adulteration, substitution, or dilution. This test was developed, and its performance characteristics determined by the performing laboratory. Results should be interpreted in context of patient history, prescribed medications, and clinical presentation. Not intended for workplace/forensic drug testing or medico-legal purposes.
